Also, am I the only person that thinks you can have a “sick plane” the way you can have a “sick building?” The air conditioning system in a building in Philadelphia was largely responsible for Legionnaires Disease (if you can remember back that far). That’s part of the problem working in some of these buildings where you can’t open a window, they’re recycling the same crappy air for the decades since the thing was built. Also, how many companies or landlords make the kind of investment to clean out the ventilation systems of their buildings on a regular basis? Is there any reason to think the airlines (which are in trouble as it is) would do any better?
